Baltic states protest Russian disinformation over airspace accusations

Chargés d’affaires of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia met the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow to deliver a joint demarche rejecting Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin's claim that the three Baltic states had opened their airspace for attacks on Russian territory. The diplomats called the allegation false and described it as part of a broader Russian disinformation campaign.

In their statement the Baltic representatives warned that drone incursions into their airspace are a consequence of Russia's full‑scale war against Ukraine, reiterated support for Ukraine's sovereignty and urged Russia to end its aggression, condemning the spread of fabricated narratives aimed at destabilising the region.
