Baltimore Orioles consider trading key players this offseason

The Baltimore Orioles are exploring potential roster moves during the Major League Baseball offseason to reshape the team after finishing fourth in the AL East and missing the postseason for two consecutive years. According to reports, the front office is willing to listen to offers for most players on the roster, with the notable exception of Pete Alonso.

Potential trade targets include All-Star closer Felix Bautista and right-hander Ryan Helsley. However, injury concerns regarding both pitchers may impact the return in any potential deal. While third baseman Gunnar Henderson has been mentioned in discussions, a trade involving him is described as unlikely and costly.

The Orioles are reportedly prioritizing the addition of at least one starting pitcher to provide a short-term rotation fix, an upgrade in the outfield to improve defense, and more offensive production from the catcher position. Other players mentioned in potential operations include Jordan Westburg and prospect Coby Mayo.
