Banca Mediolanum and ING launch new banking promotions in Italy
Banca Mediolanum and ING are offering new promotional terms for online banking and savings accounts in Italy.
Banca Mediolanum has introduced SelfyConto, which offers a zero-fee monthly balance for the first year, and for those under 30 for up to thirty years. Following the promotional period, the fee is 3.75 euros per month, though this can be waived by depositing a salary or spending at least 500 euros monthly with the Mediolanum Card. The account includes SEPA transfers, chat assistance, and access to a financial consultant known as SelfyAssistant. Additionally, customers opening an account by October 30 can receive a 4% gross annual interest rate for six months on time deposit accounts.
ING is offering a permanent zero-fee checking account through its Conto Corrente Arancio. Customers who integrate this with a Conto Arancio savings account and meet specific criteria—such as making initial transfers and depositing or receiving a salary of at least 1,000 euros—can earn a 4% gross annual interest rate for 12 months on savings up to 200,000 euros. The ING package includes debit and credit cards with no fees, free withdrawals within Italy and Europe, and no-cost SEPA transfers and utility payments.
