Banca Națională a Moldovei co‑hosts second EU convergence conference in Chișinău
The National Bank of Moldova, together with the Bank of France and the National Bank of Romania, will host the second edition of an international conference on fiscal space and monetary anchoring under accelerated EU integration. The hybrid event is scheduled for 1‑2 October 2026 in Chișinău and will bring together experts, policymakers and researchers to discuss the challenges facing EU candidate states as they speed up economic and financial integration. Topics include fiscal sustainability, monetary stability, large‑scale investment financing, price stability and exchange‑rate predictability. Vice‑governor Mihnea Constantinescu emphasized the need for rapid reforms and highlighted the conference as a platform for sharing best practices. Researchers can submit papers until 16 August, and the programme will feature panels, presentations and dedicated sessions on financial policy.
