Banca Transilvania urges Romanians to spend on local SMEs
Banca Transilvania has launched a new phase of its "Cumpără de lângă tine" platform, urging consumers to buy from small and medium‑size enterprises (SMEs) across Romania. The campaign highlights that each leu spent at a local shop, café, workshop or service firm quickly circulates as wages, supplier payments, rent and reinvestments, creating a multiplier effect that strengthens community economies.
The initiative stresses the daily role of SMEs in keeping towns running – from early‑morning bakeries to delivery services – and argues that their continued operation supports jobs, local supply chains and consumer confidence. By promoting these businesses, the bank aims to sustain the distributed economic infrastructure that underpins Romania’s overall stability.
