Banco de Brasília negotiates R$ 370 million asset sale
Banco de Brasília (BRB) is negotiating the sale of a portfolio of six Bank Credit Notes (CCBs) valued at R$ 370 million. The sale involves assets backed by 23 properties that were recently unblocked following a decision by Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister André Mendonça.
The decision by Minister Mendonça annulled the unavailability of assets resulting from a first-instance process related to investigations into transactions between BRB and Banco Master. While a federal criminal court in the Federal District had previously ordered the unblocking of the bank's assets, the properties remained under restriction, preventing the completion of the sale.
BRB President Nelson Antônio de Souza stated that this represents a new phase for the bank as it begins to commercialize healthy assets. The credit notes are currently up to date and are secured by properties from the company Esfera as part of the FIP Trevi. Minister Mendonça noted that his decision does not preclude future autonomous blocks on these assets or on third parties.
