Banco de Brasília to Seek Civil Action Against Former Executives
Shareholders of Banco de Brasília (BRB) will meet on 24 August in a digital extraordinary general assembly to decide whether to authorize civil liability actions against former administrators. The proposal stems from Operation Compliance Zero, which investigates the bank’s acquisition of roughly R$ 12 billion in credit portfolios from Banco Master and related Reag‑group companies. If approved, BRB could file lawsuits to recover damages to its assets and reputation caused by the questioned operations.
The meeting notice was published in the Diário Oficial do Distrito Federal on 3 August, marking a new phase in the ongoing BRB crisis that has raised significant financial and legal concerns for the institution.
