Banco Popular inaugurates new headquarters and digital-focused office

Banco Popular has inaugurated its new BP Total Catedral office and the Metropolitan Building, a modern corporate headquarters located near the Metropolitan Cathedral. The opening was led by President Laura Fernández Delgado and General Manager Gina Carvajal Vega.

The new facility features a Technological Lobby designed to promote digital education and self-management. Key amenities include an Online Advisor service for 57 different procedures via video call, digital service desks, and 12 ATMs, including four multi-service machines. The site also includes coworking spaces and digital management screens.

The shift toward this model follows data showing that by the end of the first half of 2026, approximately 92% of transactions and 69% of total transaction amounts were conducted through digital channels. Management emphasized that while the bank is embracing digitalization, it intends to maintain human advisory services to ensure inclusivity for all customers.
