Banco Santander to advance June pension bonus for Spanish retirees

Banco Santander announced that it will advance the extra June pension payment to its eligible customers on Tuesday, 23 June. The early transfer will include the regular monthly pension and the summer bonus, and will be received only by retirees entitled to the full fourteen‑pay scheme, with some individuals potentially receiving more than €6,000.

The move comes amid a generally improving macro‑economic environment in Spain, with inflation easing and consumer confidence rising. Analysts expect the additional cash flow to boost household spending, particularly in tourism‑related retail and services during the summer months.
