Super Robot Wars Y Anniversary DLC Launches August 5, 2026

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the "Anniversary Expansion Pack" for the tactical RPG Super Robot Wars Y will be released on August 5, 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The paid DLC adds 33 new area missions, 12 new weapons, five new playable mecha, one new assist‑crew member and a bonus mission.

A free update (version 1.4.0) will arrive on August 4, 2026, introducing commemorative missions that mark the series surpassing 20 million copies sold and its 35th anniversary. The update also brings a new "BOOST" mode that doubles experience, credits and MXP gains while halving training and modification costs, and raises the pilot level cap from 150 to 200. The announcement also confirmed production of a Super Robot Wars Z II Ruination remaster.

The release celebrates the franchise’s 20 million‑unit sales milestone and its 35‑year history, offering fans expanded content and gameplay enhancements.
