Overview

Bandai Namco continued its 35th‑anniversary rollout for the Super Robot Wars series in early August 2026. On 1 August the company announced an "Anniversary Expansion Pack" DLC for Super Robot Wars Y, scheduled for release on 5 August for Switch, PS5 and PC. The paid expansion pack, released alongside the free update, provides 33 new area missions, a bonus mission, five additional playable units—including the Gundam Calibarn from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury—one new assistant crew member and twelve new weapons. The same day, Bandai Namco announced a remastered version of the original Super Robot Wars Z: Hakai‑hen, titled Super Robot Wars Z II: Ruination Remastered, with platform details pending.

Separately, a torrent site began distributing a cracked version of Super Robot Wars Y that bundles the base game and the anniversary DLC, offering the content for free without purchase.
