Bandai Namco releases Code Vein II DLC and free update

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released the expansion DLC ‘Mask of Idris’ and free update version 2.0 for Code Vein II. The DLC introduces a new scenario set in the ‘Discarded World,’ featuring a different historical timeline and new partner characters, including Liv Voda and Lou Magmel. Players can also encounter a new character known as the ‘Mask of Passion.’

To access the DLC, players must reach the ‘Luna Fraterna’ ending and progress through specific in-game requests. Completing the expansion unlocks alternate-colored versions of all 14 partner characters.

The free 2.0 update introduces the ‘Age of Harmony,’ which allows for exploration after the main story is completed. This update includes short episodes for each character, a new story to deepen partner bonds, and a new blood code reward. Additional features include a ‘Story-Focused Mode,’ a boss fight mode, character shader adjustments to mimic the original Code Vein, and an expanded photo mode.
