Bandung Police Seize 53 Motorbikes for Illegal Exhausts

The Bandung Traffic Police (Satlantas Polrestabes Bandung) conducted a KRYD (Kegiatan Rutin yang Ditingkatkan) operation on the night of 10‑11 July 2026 along Jalan Merdeka‑Riau. Officers targeted motorcycles equipped with noisy, non‑compliant exhaust systems. In total, 53 motorbikes were intercepted and cited for violating technical specifications, aiming to curb noise pollution and improve traffic safety in the city centre.

Police chief AKBP Hudi Arif said the raid was part of routine enforcement to maintain public order and reduce disturbances caused by “brong” exhausts. All seized vehicles received traffic tickets, and the operation was presented as a measure to ensure a quieter, safer urban environment.
