Bandung's Husein Sastranegara Airport to Resume Domestic and International Flights

PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) is optimizing the operational readiness of Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung to handle scheduled domestic and international jet flights. Preparations include meeting Ministry of Transport safety, security and service standards, adding Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles, extra aviation security staff, and upgrading screening equipment such as X‑ray machines and metal detectors.

Six airlines have expressed interest in launching new routes from the airport. Proposed domestic destinations cover Bali, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Padang, Lampung, Pekanbaru, Kualanamu, Makassar and Palembang. International discussions focus on Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru (Malaysia). As Arie Ahsanurrohim of InJourney Airports said, “We ensure the optimisation strengthens both domestic and international connectivity to support the growth of West Java’s economy and tourism.”
