Bangka Belitung tin mining governance addressed by government

The Indonesian government is taking steps to address tin mining governance issues in the Bangka Belitung Islands province, specifically regarding recent conditions in East Belitung.

Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correctional Affairs, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, held a meeting on Tuesday with various ministries, agencies, the Bangka Belitung provincial government, and PT Timah Tbk to discuss the matter. A small task force will be formed to manage the situation, led by Deputy Coordinating Minister Otto Hasibuan.
