Bangkok police arrest three in luxury home drug raid

Bangkok police arrested three individuals—two Chinese nationals and one Thai woman—following a raid on a luxury residence in the Khan Na Yao district. The operation targeted the illegal sale of electronic cigarettes laced with etomidate, a intravenous anesthetic sometimes referred to as “zombie vapes.”

Authorities conducted a sting operation after receiving reports of drug sales via the Line application. Officers intercepted a delivery attempt where the Thai suspect attempted to hand over a product concealed in a lipstick case to a motorcycle courier.

A subsequent search of the premises uncovered a significant cache of illicit items, including 839 etomidate-containing cartridges, 988 electronic vaping devices, and 17 bottles of etomidate liquid. Police also seized 1.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine, three packets of “happy water,” and various drug paraphernalia. The total value of the seized goods is estimated at 2.5 million baht.
