Bangladesh Cricket Board announces coaching changes and free test match entry
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has implemented significant changes ahead of the upcoming home Test series against the West Indies. Mohammad Ashraful has been removed from his position as the national team's batting coach following criticism regarding the batting lineup's performance in limited-overs cricket. While his contract with the BCB remains valid until February, he will be reassigned to a different department. Experienced coach Mohammad Saluddin will serve as the interim batting coach for the West Indies series. The BCB is currently considering international candidates, including Mohammad Yousuf and Hashim Amal, for a permanent role.
In a move to increase spectator attendance, the BCB announced that the first Test match against the West Indies, scheduled from October 28 to November 1 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, will offer free entry to certain sections. Fans can watch the match for free in the North and South Galleries. However, tickets are still required for the Grand Stand, Shaheed Jewel Stand, Mushtaq Stand, and all VIP or hospitality areas.
