Bangladesh PM Tarique Rahman calls for national unity and public welfare
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called for national unity in Bangladesh, emphasizing that religious differences should not serve as a basis for discrimination. During a visit to a Durga Puja mandap in Chattogram, he stated that all citizens share a single identity as Bangladeshis and must be treated equally under the law, regardless of whether they belong to a majority or minority religious group.
Addressing a BNP organizational meeting in Chattogram, the Prime Minister also urged party leaders and activists to prioritize public welfare and the implementation of electoral pledges. He stressed the importance of maintaining law and order, strengthening organizational unity, and preparing for upcoming local government elections to build a ‘New Bangladesh.’ Rahman highlighted that the party's primary responsibility is now to turn political promises into reality, specifically in the sectors of education, health, and security.
