Bangladesh signs Boeing aircraft deal and US nuclear cooperation MoU

Mahdi Amin, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, stated that the agreement to purchase aircraft from Boeing was made with the highest priority given to Bangladesh’s national interests. He clarified that the decision was not imposed on anyone but was based on bilateral interests. While the Prime Minister was not present during the signing, the deal was finalized through representatives of both nations.

During the Prime Minister’s recent visit to the 81st UN General Assembly, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding ‘strategic civil nuclear cooperation’ was also signed between the governments of Bangladesh and the United States. This agreement was concluded during a separate sideline meeting.

In addition to these agreements, the Prime Minister engaged in bilateral discussions with leaders from 11 countries, focusing on sovereignty, national interest, and public welfare.
