Bangladesh SSC 2026: Student demands for exams and scholarship updates
The SSC 2026 Student Rights Movement Bangladesh has called for special supplementary examinations for students who failed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams, even after board challenges. The group is preparing to submit a memorandum to the Education Minister requesting policy changes to reduce student mental stress and ensure academic continuity. They are specifically asking for successful supplementary candidates to be allowed to enroll in Class 11 within the same academic year.
Separately, the Dhaka Education Board has released the list of scholarship recipients based on the 2026 SSC results. Merit scholarship recipients will receive 600 BDT monthly, while general scholarship recipients will receive 350 BDT monthly. Additionally, merit scholars will receive a one-time annual grant of 900 BDT for books and equipment, and general scholars will receive 450 BDT. These scholarships, which run from July 2026 to June 2028, also mandate that students receive free tuition at their respective educational institutions.
