Authorities in Banja Luka have investigated a series of bomb threats sent via email to various institutions and media outlets. The threatening messages, sent by a group calling themselves ‘Blokaderske osvetničke ćelije’, claimed that explosive devices had been placed at several locations, including the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska, political party offices, and a religious site.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Republika Srpska has officially classified the incident as the criminal offense of terrorism. Police conducted anti-sabotage inspections at five different locations across the city. Following these inspections, law enforcement confirmed that the bomb threats were false and no explosive devices were found.

The emails contained highly offensive language and political threats, referencing historical conflicts in Bosnia and Herzegovina. While the immediate security threat was found to be non-existent, investigations into the origin of the messages are ongoing.
