Bank Aceh Syariah Disburses Rp2.94 Trillion KUR Loans to Nearly 27,000 UMKM in Aceh

Bank Aceh Syariah (BAS) has supplied Rp2.94 trillion in Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) loans to 26,983 micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) across Aceh from 2022 through June 2026. The financing is used for working‑capital needs, investment in production facilities, and capacity‑building, covering sectors such as trade, agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing, crafts, services and tourism. BAS officials said the loans aim to spur business growth, improve household welfare and generate new jobs in the province.

A university thesis studying UMKM beneficiaries in Banda Aceh found that income among micro‑enterprises rose significantly after receiving KUR financing from the bank. The research highlighted that proper use of capital, effective business management and bank support were key drivers of the income boost, underscoring the importance of accessible, Sharia‑compliant financing for small‑business development in Aceh.
