Bank Danamon and Pegadaian Boost Youth Financial Literacy in Indonesia
Bank Danamon Indonesia, together with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), organized a financial‑literacy workshop for students at Suria Harapan School in Jambi. The program included a library revitalisation with new bookshelves and reading tables and taught young people how to manage money, avoid illegal investment schemes and online gambling, and develop prudent financial habits.
At Institut Teknologi Bandung, Muhammad Razhi, senior sales manager of PT Pegadaian, addressed students on the importance of starting to invest early. He highlighted that without investment "money stays still" and warned that relying only on pocket money can lead to a consumptive lifestyle. Razhi outlined investment options such as stocks, mutual funds, bonds, crypto assets and gold, noting gold’s role as a stable store of value.
