Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego expands cooperation and financing limits
Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) has entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding with two Hungarian development institutions, MFB Hungarian Development Bank and Eximbank Hungary. The partnership aims to establish a framework for long-term cooperation in economic development financing, export support, and knowledge exchange. Key focus areas include SME financing, energy and digital transformation, artificial intelligence, housing, infrastructure, and security projects.
Separately, BGK Vice President Maciej Kliś addressed the financing of the Port Polska project during the XVI Railway Congress in Warsaw. Kliś stated that while the bank is interested in participating in the strategic investment, regulatory limits restrict BGK to a maximum of 20 billion PLN in potential financing. He noted that the exact level of involvement will depend on future financial plans provided by the company, particularly following leadership changes at Centralny Port Komunikacyjny.
