Bank Jateng to support SMK Go Global program for migrant workers

Bank Jateng has announced its commitment to support the ‘SMK Go Global’ program, a government initiative designed to enhance the competence of vocational high school (SMK) students. The program aims to prepare students for international work opportunities while strengthening the financing ecosystem for prospective Indonesian migrant workers.

During a meeting with the Ministry of Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection (KP2MI) in Jakarta, Bank Jateng President Director Bambang Widyatmoko stated that the bank intends to provide integrated financial services. This support includes opening accounts, providing banking education, remittance services, and facilitating financing for workers.

The collaboration, which involves the Astha Mandala SMK Go Global program, seeks to create an integrated ecosystem connecting vocational education, the business sector, and the banking industry to produce a globally competitive workforce.
