Bank of America drives buying in Turkish consumer and energy stocks while offloading defense shares
Bank of America’s recent trading on Borsa Istanbul showed strong net purchases in Coca‑Cola İçecek (≈ 471 million TL), Girişim Elektrik and EMPA Elektronik, along with notable buying in TSKB, Kiler Holding, Borusan Boru and Türkiye Sigorta. At the same time, the bank sold heavily in defense and heavy‑industry equities, with the largest net sale in Aselsan (≈ 4.05 billion TL), followed by ASTOR Enerji and Ereğli Demir Çelik.
Investor cash inflows across the market were concentrated in large‑cap, high‑liquidity stocks. Akbank recorded the highest daily turnover (≈ 11.7 billion TL) and a 3.55 % rise, while Aksa Enerji, Alarko Holding, Altınay Savunma, Anadolu Sigorta and Arçelik also saw significant activity. The pattern highlights continued investor focus on bank, energy and industrial sectors within Turkey’s equity market.
