Bank of Palestine launches school support initiative in Gaza

Bank of Palestine has launched the ‘Back to School’ initiative, themed ‘A New Year, A New Hope,’ to support primary school students across the Gaza Strip. In coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the bank is distributing approximately 7,000 school bags to students in grades one, two, and three.

The initiative targets schools in various governorates, including Gaza, North Gaza, Khan Younis, the Middle Area, and Rafah, with priority given to the most needy areas. Alongside the distribution of supplies, bank employees are participating in organizing recreational and interactive activities—such as group games, drawing, and coloring—to create a positive environment for children returning to their studies despite difficult circumstances.

Mahmoud Al-Shawa, General Manager of Bank of Palestine, stated that supporting education is a priority during this stage. He emphasized that the initiative aims to provide more than just stationery, seeking to reinforce a sense of hope, stability, and the right to learn for children in the region.
