Bank Rakyat Indonesia boosts KUR lending and launches USD‑denominated mutual funds

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) said its Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) programme disbursed Rp84.36 trillion between January and May 2026, reaching 46.9 % of the year’s Rp180 trillion allocation. Most of the credit flow – about 67 % – targeted productive sectors, with agriculture accounting for the largest share (Rp35.91 trillion). BRI highlighted the role of KUR in supporting farmer productivity, UMKM growth and national food‑security goals.

In a parallel move, BRI partnered with Batavia Prosperindo Asset Management to bring three USD‑denominated mutual‑fund products to its BRImo super‑app: Batavia China Sharia Equity USD, Batavia Technology Sharia Equity USD, and Batavia USD Bond Fund. The funds give retail clients exposure to Chinese growth stocks, global technology firms and short‑duration U.S. government bonds, expanding BRI’s wealth‑management offering and providing easier access to international markets.

Both initiatives aim to broaden financial inclusion for Indonesian households and businesses while diversifying investment options for BRI’s digital‑banking customers.
