Banque Centrale Populaire announces leadership changes in Congo and Cameroon
Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) is implementing leadership changes across its African subsidiaries. In Congo, the Board of Directors has selected Ibrahim Dohia Traoré as the new Director General of Banque Commerciale Internationale du Congo (BCI Congo). Traoré, who has 27 years of experience in finance and information technology, previously served as Executive Director of BCP International. His appointment, decided on September 11, 2026, is subject to local regulatory approval and succeeds André Gilles Ernest Collet.
In Cameroon, BICEC has appointed Othmane Tajeddine to its board of directors. Tajeddine is the head of international banking at Morocco’s BCP. His appointment was approved by shareholders during a general meeting and his term is set to run until 2030. Additionally, shareholders renewed several board mandates and appointed Paul Essimi Ngono as deputy statutory auditor.
