Banreservas allocates RD$7,000 million for productive sectors
Banreservas has announced the availability of RD$7,000 million in credit to finance productive sectors in the Dominican Republic. The initiative aims to support private investment, stimulate national production, and encourage formal job creation.
During a business breakfast in Santo Domingo, Executive President Leonardo Aguilera reported that the institution has already disbursed more than RD$44,000 million to the business segment so far in 2026. These funds have primarily targeted the construction, commerce, manufacturing, and agricultural sectors.
Aguilera emphasized that the expansion of corporate credit has been managed with strict risk standards, noting a low delinquency rate of just 0.18% as of August 19. The bank intends for the new credit line to strengthen companies and increase production levels.
