Bantul Police Seize 219 Illegal Alcohol Bottles in 11 Locations

Police from the Bantul district in Indonesia carried out a coordinated crackdown on illegal alcohol sales from July 16 to 19, 2026. The operation, part of an intensified routine activity (KRYD), targeted 11 sites across several sub‑districts, including Imogiri, Sewon, Pleret and Kasihan.

Authorities seized a total of 219 bottles of various alcoholic beverages—such as Anggur Kolesom, local beers and homemade spirits—and detained several individuals suspected of distributing the unlicensed products. The raids were prompted by community reports and aimed at preventing public disorder linked to unregulated alcohol consumption.
