Bantul Police Seize 379 Illegal Alcohol Bottles in Coordinated Raid

Police in Bantul, Yogyakarta, conducted a large‑scale operation from the night of 6 June to early 7 June 2026, targeting three separate outlets that all used the name “Outlet 23.” In total, officers confiscated 379 bottles of various alcoholic beverages, including vodka, whisky, beer, and imported wines, and arrested several sellers, such as 22‑year‑old MZF, 24‑year‑old RAM, and others identified only by initials.

The raid also uncovered a new distribution tactic: sellers were using cash‑on‑delivery (COD) transactions to evade detection. Undercover officers posed as buyers, leading to arrests of individuals like 43‑year‑old BS, who supplied three bottles of high‑alcohol wine from Sleman, and another suspect, AS, who sold seven bottles after a COD deal in Caturharjo. Police spokesperson Iptu Rita Hidayanto said the operation aimed to dismantle the illicit network and warned the public to report such activities.
