Bapanas and BULOG distribute 181,000 tons of rice in West Java

The National Food Agency (Bapanas) and Perum BULOG are accelerating the distribution of food assistance rice in West Java for the July–September 2026 allocation. The program targets 6,039,551 food assistance recipients, with a total allocation exceeding 181,000 tons of rice.

In Karawang Regency, 249,725 recipients are set to receive a total of approximately 7,491 tons of rice. Distribution is being carried out gradually to ensure the aid reaches the community in good condition. Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Agriculture and Head of Bapanas, emphasized that the government is strengthening collaboration across ministries and agencies to ensure the assistance reaches the intended recipients based on data from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
