BAPS denies requesting exclusion of women during Eiffel Tower visit
BAPS Hindu Mandir of Paris has rejected allegations that it requested the exclusion or removal of female employees during a recent religious delegation visit to the Eiffel Tower. The organization stated that an official investigation into the matter found no evidence that such a request was ever made.
The controversy arose following reports that female staff members were sidelined during the visit. However, the investigation findings attributed the incident to a “chain of miscommunication and operational failures” that resulted in women being replaced at their posts.
Branco-Ruivo, head of the Societe d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SETE), also addressed the issue, stating he never issued instructions to remove or replace women during the delegation's visit. BAPS expressed concern for the employees affected by the events and stated it hopes the clarification improves understanding of the circumstances.
