Bar Municipality approves Gluhi Do solar power plant in Crmnica

The Municipality of Bar has approved the environmental impact assessment for the construction of the Gluhi Do solar power plant in Crmnica. The project, led by Podgorica-based company DD Solar gradnja, is designed to have a planned capacity of 3.4 megawatts.

The installation will consist of 6,110 solar panels spread across 235 structures, covering a total area of 18,979 square meters. The facility will be situated on eight cadastral plots totaling 73,426 square meters and will connect to the Virpazar – Buljarica – Podgor power line. Access to the site will be provided via the E80 Podgorica – Petrovac highway.

The approval follows a process where the initial environmental impact study was returned for revisions. A commission later determined that the updated document, prepared by the firm Paming, complied with all regulations and required amendments. While a public hearing was held in June, officials noted that no objections or comments were submitted by citizens or interested organizations during the public inspection period.
