Bardzo Młoda Kultura program promotes youth agency in Poland
The ‘Bardzo Młoda Kultura’ (Very Young Culture) program, managed by the National Centre for Culture, continues to foster youth agency and participation in cultural life across Poland. In the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, the Kielce Cultural Centre recently hosted a summary meeting for local partners to evaluate the year's initiatives and plan future collaborations.
The program aims to move young people from being mere recipients of culture to active co-creators and decision-makers. Through partnerships between cultural institutions, schools, and social organizations, the initiative seeks to build lasting networks that enhance local social development and teamwork skills.
In the Łódź Voivodeship, the Ożarów Cultural Centre implemented the ‘COOLtura oczami młodych’ (COOLtura through young eyes) project. Participants engaged in journalistic, photographic, and film workshops, producing audio and video content that documents local cultural life. This specific project was funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the 2026–2028 cycle of the program.
