Youth community and educational programs in Poland

Overview

Community organizations in Poland continue to implement diverse educational, recreational, and career-oriented programs for children and youth. Recent summer activities included initiatives by the Salesian Oratory in Łódź, which organized half-day camps, a wandering oratory, and preventive camps in Porszewice featuring musical sessions and excursions to museums and the Planetarium EC1. In Łęka Opatowska, local library workshops focused on creative crafts such as making eco-friendly photo frames and scented glycerin soaps.

Developmental efforts remain focused on mental wellbeing, civic engagement, and professional growth. In Kutno, the Pro Aperte Foundation and the Autism Team Foundation continue operating the Conscious Youth Club under the ‘Youth Wellbeing Academy’, supporting neurodivergent individuals through social competence training and the ‘Health in Motion’ physical activity series. The ‘Education for Citizenship’ program, a collaboration between the Geremka Center Foundation and the Enea Foundation, provides high school students with training in media literacy, climate change, and energy transformation through weekend retreats in Warsaw.

Newer initiatives have expanded into career development and international cooperation. The Association of Public Relations Agencies (SAPR) is hosting the ‘Wings Up’ competition for individuals under 30, offering opportunities to solve communication briefs for potential internships. Additionally, National Career Week in Wodzisław Śląski has facilitated connections between students and professionals in vocational fields.

Recent expansions include the fifth edition of a Polish-Ukrainian youth exchange project in Radomsko, focusing on folklore and traditional crafts. Regional programs have also introduced digital skill classes in Gniezno, art marketing workshops in Rzeszów, and dance classes in Bielsko-Biała. Mental health support has also been bolstered, with the BloomPro Foundation launching a program in the Kobierzyce Commune providing free psychological support to youth aged 6 to 19.
