Bari launches Santomare 2026 festival to support coastal commerce

The Municipality of Bari has launched 'Le Feste di Santomare 2026', a new initiative designed to support commercial businesses in coastal neighborhoods located away from the city center.

The project features a program of free concerts, performances, sporting activities, and cultural events. The first stage of the program begins in Santo Spirito on September 26 and 27, following recent seaside restructuring. Subsequent festivities are scheduled for Torre a Mare and San Girolamo during the first and third weekends of October.

Pietro Petruzzelli, the Councilor for Local Development and Blue Economy, stated that the format is intended to be innovative and replicable, aiming to animate coastal districts beyond the summer season through local participation.
