Bari Local Police launch youth road safety project

The Bari Local Police, in collaboration with the association ‘Ragazzi On the Road’, has launched the first edition of the ‘On the Road – La svolta consapevole’ project at the Fiera del Levante. The initiative is designed to provide young people with hands-on experience alongside police officers to learn about road safety, prevention, and the importance of following regulations.

During the official launch ceremony, participants received vests to mark the beginning of their training. The event was attended by local officials, including Councilor for Knowledge Vito Lacoppola, Local Police Commander Michele Palumbo, and Metropolitan City Councilor Marco Bronzini.

Urban Livability Councilor Carla Palone emphasized that the project aims to provide a practical experience that is more impactful than theoretical lessons. The goal is for these young participants to act as catalysts for awareness within their schools and peer groups, fostering a culture of responsibility and safety.
