Bari opens six new taxi stalls on Corso Vittorio Emanuele near Teatro Piccinni
The municipality of Bari has completed a new taxi station on Corso Vittorio Emanuele in front of the Teatro Piccinni. The site comprises six dedicated taxi bays that replace the former stalls in Piazza Massari, which were removed as part of a broader traffic re‑organisation for the upcoming BRT system. Horizontal road markings were installed this morning, and vertical signage will be added in the coming days. The location was chosen in agreement with taxi driver representatives to provide a central, highly visible point for both residents and visitors, close to landmarks such as the Teatro Piccinni and the Palazzo della Città. Assessor for Territory Management Domenico Scaramuzzi said the new station fulfills a commitment to improve taxi service while integrating public‑transport needs.
