Bari to host Fratelli d’Italia event celebrating Meloni government
The Fratelli d’Italia party is organizing a large-scale event in the port of Bari on September 4 to celebrate the longevity of the government led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The event, held at pier 10 of the new cruise terminal, is expected to host over 10,000 people.
Organizers announced the details during a press conference featuring Undersecretary of Health Marcello Gemmato, MEP Michele Picaro, and Senator Filippo Melchiorre. The gathering will include ministers, undersecretaries, and parliamentarians from Fratelli d’Italia, with expected participation from coalition partners Forza Italia and Lega. Vice-premiers Antonio Tajani and Matteo Salvini are also slated to speak, though their attendance may be remote.
During the announcement, Marcello Gemmato highlighted the government's impact on Southern Italy, noting that the South's GDP growth has outpaced the North's by 0.2%. He described the milestone as a historic achievement that may be discussed in history books in the coming decades.
Logistical arrangements for the event include shuttle services from the Caracciolo gate for pedestrians and designated bus access via the Vittoria gate. For those arriving by car, park-and-ride services will be available at Pane e Pomodoro and the San Nicola Stadium parking areas starting at 15:30.
