Giorgia Meloni and Fratelli d’Italia political activities

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has engaged in several high-profile public appearances. On August 24, she visited Amatrice to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the 2016 earthquake, laying a wreath for the 299 victims. Despite media speculation regarding potential protests, she was met with applause from attendees.

Following this, the Fratelli d’Italia party organized a large-scale event in Bari on September 4 to celebrate the longevity of the Meloni-led government. Held at the Bari port’s Cruise Terminal, the rally marked the government reaching 1,413 days in office, a milestone surpassing the duration of the second Berlusconi government. The event featured various ministers and coalition allies from Lega and Forza Italia.

During her address to the crowd, Meloni briefly interrupted her speech to answer a phone call from her daughter, Ginevra, noting that her daughter had attempted to call three times previously. Addressing the theme of her tenure, Meloni stated that “stability does not necessarily equate to capability,” emphasizing that the most significant metric is the level of consensus maintained throughout her time in office.
