Bariloche unveils 2026 winter season at Buenos Aires planetarium

Bariloche’s 2026 winter tourism season was officially launched at the Planetario Galileo Galilei in Buenos Aires. The event, organized by the Ente Mixto de Promoción Turística (EMPROTUR), featured an immersive experience with 360° mapping, full‑dome projections, surround sound and Patagonian gastronomy. National and local officials attended, including Daniel Scioli, the national secretary of Tourism, Ambiente y Deporte; Governor Alberto Weretilneck of Río Negro; and Bariloche mayor Walter Cortés, alongside EMPROTUR leaders Eric Guzmán and Natacha Vázquez.

Organizers highlighted Bariloche’s snow‑rich Cordillera landscape, its culinary traditions and plans to promote the destination year‑round as “Bariloche 365.” Scioli pointed to growth in inbound tourism, especially from Brazil and Chile, and cited open‑sky policies and infrastructure upgrades such as the modernization of the Cardenal Samoré border crossing to improve connectivity.

The launch aims to strengthen Bariloche’s profile in national and international markets, generate employment and boost the regional economy through expanded tourism activity.
