Barion Yacht Club claims Italian Edison Next 2026 sailing title in Gaeta

The Italian national sailing championship “Edison Next 2026” was held in Gaeta and organised by the Yacht Club Gaeta. The Barion Yacht Club of Bari, sailing the Swan 42 Morgan V under skipper Nicola de Gemmis, won the Class A – Group 1 title and the prestigious Carlo De Zerbi trophy, marking de Gemmis’s seventh Italian title.

Other Puglian crews also performed strongly: the Italia Yachts 11.98 “We Try” took third in Group B (Corinthian), the Italia Yachts 9.98 “Next Gen” placed second in Class C Group 2, the X‑35 “Trottolina Bellicosa Race” finished fourth in the same class, and the Cape 31 “Chisum” secured first in Class C Group 2. Club representatives praised the preparation, determination and teamwork of the sailors.
