Barretos police report no fatalities during Festa do Peão operation

The 33rd Military Police Battalion has released a preliminary report regarding the 'Operação Festa do Peão' in Barretos, held between August 20 and 30. Major Esther Santos, subcommander of the battalion, stated that the event's behavior was similar to the previous year, characterized by isolated incidents rather than widespread unrest.

While police recorded thefts of mobile phones and wallets, the command highlighted that no homicides or fatalities, including traffic accidents, occurred during the festival. To manage the large crowds and 24-hour programming, the battalion utilized reinforced units, including Shock troops, environmental policing, and traffic units.
