Bartın officials donate sacrificial animals to Turkish Red Crescent
Local authorities in the Turkish Black Sea province of Bartın contributed their Kurban (sacrificial animals) to the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) as part of a nationwide charity drive. Bartın Governor Nurtaç Arslan, AK Party MP Yusuf Ziya Aldatmaz, provincial party leader Yaşar Arslan and the district governors of Ulus and Amasra all presented their animals for distribution to needy people in Turkey and abroad.
The donations were made under the campaign “Kurban Bereketini Yıl Boyu Yaşatıyorsan Hilal Olsun Türkiye,” launched with the support of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Officials praised the effort, urging citizens with means to follow suit, stating, “Ekonomik imkanı olan herkesin Kızılay’a bağış yapması için çağrıda bulundu.” The initiative aims to provide meat to vulnerable populations during the upcoming Eid al‑Adha celebrations.
