Basilicata draws 1,316 applications for community nurse training program
The Region of Basilicata received 1,316 applications for a community‑nurse training and recruitment programme, described by Health Assessor Cosimo Latronico as one of the most significant hiring drives in recent decades.
The initiative, financed by the EU’s FSE+ 2021‑2027 fund and coordinated by the regional health authority, Formez PA and the University of Foggia, will admit 500 nurses to a 220‑hour training course. Participants will receive a stipend of up to €1,800 and, upon certification, will sit for two further exams that fill 263 permanent posts – 160 with the ASP and 103 with the ASM. The project aims to strengthen proximity medicine and integrate PNRR and FSE+ resources within the regional health system.
