Baskin‑Robbins rolls out 30th‑anniversary Pokémon ice‑cream campaign in Japan

From August 1 to August 31 2026, Baskin‑Robbins Japan will run its annual “31 Poké Summer!” promotion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original Pokémon Red & Green games. The campaign introduces a new Pikachu‑themed flavor, “Pikachu’s Volt‑taker – Pine Squeeze,” a yellow pineapple‑sorbet paired with a white soda‑sorbet and a crackling red candy that mimics Pikachu’s electric attacks.

Customers can choose two scoops for a “double” cup featuring designs from the series’ partner Pokémon, including the original Kanto trio (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle) and newer regional partners such as Nyaoha, Hogaeta, and Quwass. Each cup comes with a special stainless‑steel spoon decorated with Pikachu or a partner Pokémon, and a random “special Pokémon sticker” from a set of 30 designs, including rare characters like Mew. Additional items such as a “Monster Ball” sundae and a “Metamon Crush Soda” are also offered for the limited period.
