Basque coalition leaders stress unity as PNV rejects censure motion involving Vox

Basque government leaders Aitor Esteban of the PNV and Eneko Andueza of the PSE‑EE held a joint press conference in the Basque Parliament to downplay recent disputes and underline the coalition’s commitment to work together. They presented a legislative proposal aimed at speeding up priority investments in the region, emphasizing that political responsibility outweighs personal disagreements.

Lehendakari Imanol Pradales of the Basque Autonomous Community also stated that the PNV will not support the motion of censure presented by PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo because it includes the far‑right party Vox, which the PNV considers a “red line.” Pradales called for greater transparency from the Spanish government and said the Basque coalition continues to operate with a constructive working climate despite broader national tensions.
