Basque Government approves 4.46 million euros for social economy

The Basque Government has approved 4.46 million euros in aid to support the social economy in Euskadi. The funding is divided into two primary lines of assistance aimed at creating and strengthening businesses.

A major portion, totaling 4.025 million euros, is dedicated to promoting collective entrepreneurship and the establishment of new cooperatives and labor societies. This includes support for idea contests, territorial promotion plans, and the incorporation of new members, specifically targeting unemployed individuals, people with disabilities, and those involved in agro-food cooperatives.

The remaining 440,000 euros will provide technical assistance to existing companies to improve their management and competitiveness. Applications must be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the Basque Public Administration within one month of the official publication in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country.
